2000年以来一直围绕水稻重要农艺性状,开展水稻突变体大规模筛选、遗传分析、基因克隆及其功能分析等研究;重点在水稻穗发芽和种子发育、抽穗期方面开展长期系统的工作。以第一作者或通讯作者身份发表论文9篇;累计影响因子超过40,单篇最高影响因子10.22;合作发表文章10篇,获授权发明专利1

目前针对黑龙江省长日照、低温、多盐碱地这一特定的水稻生态区开展:

1、高纬度亚寒带区域水稻抽穗期的适应机制

2、水稻耐盐碱的分子机制
